Hiring plant in Boksburg

Warehouse parks around Jet Park, industrial land near the airport and steady housing growth in Vosloorus and new estates keep TLBs, excavators and graders working in Boksburg. The ground is mainly Karoo shale and sandstone weathered to clay, with dolerite intrusions that can surprise a small machine, plus old mining land in the north where fill and undermining must be assessed. Clay swells after rain, so foundation trenches often go deeper than on sandy sites and backfill is compacted carefully in layers. The October to March storm season can halt earthworks for days at a time. Fast access from the N12 and R21 helps keep float costs down.

Typical telehandler hire requests in the area come from:

  • Factories, warehouses and logistics parks: lifting cladding, steel purlins and services onto a warehouse frame across a rough yard
  • Housing estates and townships: moving blocks and roof sheeting between stands and loading out materials on a busy township build
  • House plots and renovations: lifting roof tiles, trusses and pallets of bricks onto the wall plate of a double-storey house
  • Roads, pipelines and civil works: offloading pipes, culvert sections and kerbs along a stormwater or road widening contract
  • Shopping centres, offices and schools: placing materials on upper slabs and scaffold landings for a school, clinic or office block
  • Mines and quarries: handling spares, drums and conveyor parts around a plant yard with forks or a jib

What to include in your request

  • Give the heaviest load and its lift height
  • Say how far forward the load must reach
