Hiring plant in Benoni

Benoni has lakeside suburbs, agricultural holdings, industrial land in Benoni South and large housing projects toward Daveyton and Etwatwa. Hires range from a single TLB for a pool or foundation to graders and rollers for township roads. Most sites sit on Karoo shale and mudstone that weathers to expansive clay, so footings are taken deeper and wet clay is difficult to compact, while dolerite sills sometimes need a breaker. Near the old gold belt, undermining must also be ruled out. Heavy summer storms from October to March raise water levels around the pans, which affects nearby trenches. The N12 and R21 give quick access across the East Rand.

Typical telehandler hire requests in the area come from:

  • Housing estates and townships: moving blocks and roof sheeting between stands and loading out materials on a busy township build
  • House plots and renovations: lifting roof tiles, trusses and pallets of bricks onto the wall plate of a double-storey house
  • Factories, warehouses and logistics parks: lifting cladding, steel purlins and services onto a warehouse frame across a rough yard
  • Roads, pipelines and civil works: offloading pipes, culvert sections and kerbs along a stormwater or road widening contract
  • Farms, dams and game lodges: stacking feed bales, moving fertiliser bags and lifting shed roof sheets on a farm
  • Shopping centres, offices and schools: placing materials on upper slabs and scaffold landings for a school, clinic or office block

Why get a quote in Benoni first?

Prices for telehandler hire in Benoni depend on the size of telehandler, the hours or hire period, whether an operator and fuel are included, and how far it travels to your site. A quote based on your docket is the quickest way to know what you will pay, and it shows what is included before anything arrives.

What to include in your request

  • Give the heaviest load and its lift height
  • Say how far forward the load must reach
  • Describe the ground: paved, gravel or soft
  • State whether you need an operator

The more detail you give, the more accurate your quote will be.
